how to scale hinge joint and mesh at the same time

hi i tried to made a rope with simple physics so i made a Cylinder in blender then a added an armature with 4 bones to it (then parent them together with automatic weights) everything was perfect and cylinder deformed correctly while bones rotate or scale. but when i transfer my model to unity i used Hinge joints for armature bones to add a simple physics to my rope , but problem starts when i scaled the armature from Y axis(Top) to reduce the length of rope it doesn't act as i expected and rope just randomly moves to anywhere , can anyone suggest a better way to make a 3d rope and a way to make it shorter for example you grab something with it and the you want to pull it up ![alt text][1] my simple rope ![alt text][2] and what happen after scale from Y axis top(nothing change in length just randomly moves) [1]: /storage/temp/174621-capture.jpg [2]: /storage/temp/174622-capture.jpg
